If she wasn’t “canning” the produce to preserve its goodness or sharing it with grateful neighbors, she was incorporating these garden-fresh ingredients into her cherished dishes.
Her homemade spaghetti sauce brought flavor from the tomatoes ripened under the sun. Her vegetable beef soup was a comforting embrace on a cold winter’s day, and her stuffed green peppers were nothing short of culinary artistry. But the real masterpiece, her piece de resistance, was the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookies with her own special ingredients.
